Salmson 2

The Salmson was the last and best of the French World War I reconnaissance aircraft. The Salmson 2 was fast and well armed and over 3200 were built. In April 1918, the American W.P. Erwin in a memorable air battle downed 8 enemies with the front machine gun of his Salmson 2.
