The Model "T" Ford At War

The Model "T" Ford was one of the most ubiquious vehicles of the Great War Period, being found almost everywhere. Over 20,000 of these useful and rugged little cars were built under licence or exported from the U.S.A. during this time. Many of these vehicles were converted dirctly to military use. There are many photos showing Model "T"s which have been stripped down and furished with machine guns of various types for use as patol or long range recconasance vehicles. Many cilivilan owned Fords were commandeered by various armys and used as transport or fighting vehicles. Armored Fords were in use by the Poles and the Russians.
