The Steam Crab's armored hull is proof against all small arms and most
cannon projectiles. There is ample room on its
three decks for troops or cannon.
Its steam powered pinchers are capable of uprooting
trees, or tearing down barricades while its eight steel legs carry it at speeds upwards of 25 miles per hour.
No
mere man can stand against this armored conveyance, striding over the battle field like a
giant crab. Cavalry or infantry attempting to lay charges under its hull will be met with
steaming blasts of high pressure water, so powerful that they can cut a man or horse in
two. In the unlikely event that
explosive mines or shells should damage the Steam Crab's legs, it can still move with as many as two legs on a
side being blown away.
The
Steam Crab can easily break through enemy lines and disembark dozens of fully armed
troops. The vehicle can wade streams up to 24 feet deep and when necessary it can swim,
floating on its boat-like hull, powered by jets of high pressure water, at speeds up to 6
knots.

Reviresco paper kit of the Steam Crab measures 9.5 inches long by 8 inches wide (with the
legs extended) the hull (exclusive of legs) is
3 inches wide. The vehicle stands
roughly 5 inches high, depending on how the legs are adjusted.
