The Ralnai are reptiloids, similar to warm blooded dinosaurs. They are very clever and love to fight; their prey are often enslaved. They are the chief opponents of the Federation.
Ralnai soldiers are armed with disruptor weapons (masers). They wear body armor and use jetbelts.
Because they breed slowly, Ralnai often use proxy forces, such as the Alin Ru' or Denebian Swamp Devils -- unintelligent creatures controlled via brain implants.
Ralnai Powered Armor Troops The Ralnai High Command realized after the disastrous battle of Fuy Dinn that ordinary Ralnai troops could not be expected to stand against the Powered Armor troops of the Federation. Utilizing technology from captured power suits the Ralnai developed their own Powered Armor units. The armor is Class "D" (70) and their speed is 4" per turn on foot 20" in flight. Hand to hand combat factor is 12. The standard disrupter of the Ralnai trooper was exchanged for a rifle class Power Gun (115 point attack). Each suit is equipped with a disrupter pistol in the left gauntlet. The Special Weapons Squad utilizes Eli Blast Rifles, Slaver Disintegrators, Class A Gauss Rifles, and a Ralnai version of the PML.

The Legion of the Maimed Heavy Ralnai Power Suits. The Ralnai answer to the Terran Trolls. The Ralnai medical services were notoriously poor, resulting in many Ralnai with missing limbs. These maimed ones, or vengeance seekers, as they were known, were unsuitable for normal combat, but could be utilized in these fast attack suits. The Attack Rats as the Federation called them, had 120 points of armor, and were capable of speeds of 25 inches per turn. This speed could be maintained even over rough terrain if all four legs could be utilized. However the Attack Rats would often carry other types of infantry weapons in their front legs, which limited them to a speed of 10 in rough terrain. These vehicles were equipped with a turret mounted Class A Gauss Rifle with 10 rounds, or a Vortex type plasma gun with 8 discharges, or an artillery turret with two PMLs 4 rounds per gun tube, or a command turret with a periscope, super sensitive, passive optical sensors and two heavy cone machine guns with ammo for 5 turns. Two distruptors were mounted in the nose of each vehicle.
